Scope of Work (Job Purpose)

The key aims of the role will be to assist in the day-to-day warehouse operation ensuring Health & Safety procedures are always followed; stock loss is prevented through compliance with procedures, and ensuring the security of the warehouse environment; and minimise stock outs through daily updating of the inventory control system.

Main Responsibilities

  1. To undertake opening and closing procedures to ensure the security and health and safety of the warehouse is maintained.
  2. Ensure the warehouse is run in compliance with all Health and Safety procedures ensuring any incidents or near misses are reported and an annual risk assessment is completed.
  3. Coordinate with the forwarding agents to ensure the shipments are cleared in time.
  4. Coordinate with vendors/shippers for import documentation to ensure a smooth operation.
  5. Ensure all HACCP procedures are followed including the daily recording of storage temperatures.
  6. To be the main contact for all resort units whilst running the shift and ensuring requests to maintain their stock levels are acted upon in an efficient manner.
  7. To ensure that processes for paperwork are adhered to including Goods in and goods picked for delivery to units.
  8. To run the shift, ensuring maximum use of team members on the shift.
  9. Manage stock rotation to ensure minimal wastage.
  10. Ensure all deliveries are received into the warehouse and stored in the appropriate bay.
  11. Supervise the daily picking of orders as per the agreed timetable.
  12. Oversee the daily delivery of orders to units on park during shift.
  13. Always maintain appropriate levels of F & B stock.
  14. Support full quarterly stock counts of the warehouse along with weekly cycle counts.
  15. Ensure all stock movement is recorded on the stock control system.
  16. To resolve/rectify any issues from the units within 2 hours.
  17. To assist in the training of new team members within the warehouse.
  18. Manage and lead the warehousing team including setting annual objectives and performance evaluation.
  19. Keep line manager appraised of any issues or developments.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

Managers/Supervisors are responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Security within their department, in line with the Group Policy (HS001). In particular, they must ensure that risk assessments have been carried out, that safe working procedures are in place for all work activities and that all employees under their management are aware of the Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and their obligations under it. They must ensure that safe working practices are monitored and that risk assessments and procedures are reviewed regularly. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are investigated appropriately and that where necessary, corrective action is taken to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills

  • A bachelor's degree or qualification in a closely related field is required.
  • At least 3 years progressive experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in the Theme Park / Attractions industry.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and previous use of stock management systems.
  • Demonstrated team leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Present clear planning of work on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
