Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with experience in customs clearance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing and executing logistics operations, ensuring efficient and timely shipment of goods, and handling all customs-related procedures and documentation.

Working hours: Monday to Saturday with a rotational shift pattern of 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

1. Logistics Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and monitor the transportation and delivery of goods by 3rd-party Logistics Providers. Schedule and track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and coordinate shipments with suppliers, Logistics Providers (carriers), and customers to arrange shipments. Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipping activities. Resolve any transportation issues.
2. Customs Clearance: Handle all customs documentation and ensure compliance with import/export regulations (BOE Declarations, Exit Certificates, Gates Passes, e-Clearance, Claim submission). Prepare and submit necessary customs declarations and paperwork. Coordinate with Customs and Free Zone agencies to facilitate smooth customs clearance and compliance with customs laws and regulations. Maintain and organize all logistics and customs-related documentation. Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and industry best practices. Resolve any customs-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Communication and Coordination: Act as a point of contact for logistics queries and issues. Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, customer service, and procurement, to ensure seamless operations.

Your KPIs will be:

1. Quality of Records: Ensure that 99% of shipments are accompanied by the correct set of documents specific to the shipment type and are accurately recorded in the Declaration Tracking app.
2. Quality of Customs Documentation: Ensure that 99% of declarations and Exit Certificate final stamps are submitted on time.
3. GatePass Response Time: Prepare and upload the GatePass within 30 minutes from the time of request.
4. Quality and Cost Efficiency of Delivery Network: Ensure the accuracy of shipping rates and transit times between the company's Delivery Management Software and Logistic Providers.

Requirements

You're Definitely a Good Fit If You Have:

1. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Customs Clearance and Logistic Coordination with a proven track record of success in similar roles. Previous experience with Dubai Customs (preferable DWC or JAFZA FreeZones) is a must.
2. Expertise: Knowledge of UAE Customs procedures is a must.
3. Certifications: MIRSAL 2 certification would be an advantage. Valid driving license would be an advantage.
4. Technical Skills: Proficient in using office software such as MS Office and able to set up and maintain workstation.
5. Communication: Strong verbal and written English is a must.
6. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
7. Passion: A keen interest in the logistics and automotive industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED 5,000 - AED 7,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate: Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience: Logistics Coordination and Customs Clearance: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification: Drivers License (Preferred)
