Logistics Coordinator

Are you an experienced Logistics Coordinator with a strong background in global shipping and customs clearance? A leading provider of high-end building materials and interior solutions is looking for a skilled professional to manage international shipments, customs regulations, and supply chain operations from Dubai.

Your Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Freight Management

• Oversee global shipping operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
• Manage import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport providers to optimise logistics.
  
  

• Handle customs declarations, HS codes, and duty calculations to ensure compliance with UAE and international regulations.
• Liaise with customs authorities and clearing agents to resolve any clearance issues efficiently.
• Stay updated on import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade policies to avoid delays or penalties.
  
  

• Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery timelines and potential disruptions.
• Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align logistics with business needs.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping for all shipments and logistics transactions.
  
  

• Proactively address logistics challenges, including delays, damages, or compliance issues.
• Negotiate shipping rates and contracts with freight partners to optimise costs.
• Implement best practices in logistics efficiency and cost reduction.
  
  

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years in logistics coordination, preferably in the building materials, construction, or interior solutions sector.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and freight forwarding processes.
  
  

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle multiple shipments and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
