Job description

The Procurement and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain for offshore vessels, accommodation vessels, and service vessels, ensuring seamless procurement and logistics operations. The role focuses on sourcing and delivering essential equipment, spare parts, and services that support offshore operations while maintaining compliance with international maritime procurement standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for offshore vessels, accommodation, and service vessel requirements, including equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure cost-effective procurement while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Manage and track purchase orders (POs), quotations, and supplier agreements in alignment with company procurement policies.
  • Oversee the transportation and delivery of materials and equipment to offshore sites, ensuring timely and efficient supply chain operations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and port agents to facilitate seamless logistics.
  • Arrange marine insurance coverage and ensure compliance with international shipping and customs regulations.
  • Work closely with Technical and Vessel Superintendents to verify invoices and approve procurement requests.
  • Ensure all vessels receive required materials and services in compliance with operational and safety requirements.
  • Maintain an ERP-based procurement and inventory system to streamline tracking and stock availability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure continuous communication with internal departments and vessel crews to align procurement and logistics operations with project timelines.
  • Lead and train the Procurement & Stores team, setting clear KPIs and performance goals.
  • Ensure procurement and logistics operations adhere to HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) standards, ISM Code, and maritime regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Maritime Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and logistics within the offshore shipping and maritime industry.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel engineering composition, spare parts, and technical requirements, particularly for offshore service vessels, service vessels, and DP2 systems.
  • Experience handling offshore materials management and procurement for accommodation and service vessels.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (AMOS, ShipServ, or similar maritime procurement platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, ISM Code, MARPOL, and SOLAS requirements.
  • Strong background working with European shipping and maritime companies, understanding regional procurement practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
