Job description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and optimize daily logistics operations, ensuring timely shipment and delivery of goods across Dubai’s bustling trade routes.
  2. Maintain accurate inventory records, utilizing advanced software tools to monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
  3. Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and clients to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth transportation flow.
  4. Prepare and process shipping documentation, including customs paperwork, to comply with local and international regulations.
  5. Implement cost-saving measures by analyzing transportation routes and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  6. Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics, providing insights to management for continuous improvement.
  7. Assist in the negotiation of freight rates and contracts to secure favorable terms with service providers.
  8. Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  9. Support the warehouse team in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring optimal space utilization.
  10. Stay updated on Dubai’s logistics regulations and market trends, adapting strategies to align with evolving industry standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  2. At least 2-4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, ideally within the UAE market.
  3. Professional certifications such as APICS or CILT are highly advantageous.
  4. Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems, with a strong aptitude for data analysis.
  5. Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
  6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  8. Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory management.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities with ease.
  10. Culturally aware, with an understanding of Dubai’s diverse workforce and business practices.
