Job Title : Cook (Pakistani & Indian Cuisine)

Job Summary :

We are looking for passionate and skilled Cooks who specialize in preparing authentic Pakistani and Indian dishes for one of our clients in Al Ain. As a cook, you will be responsible for ensuring that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization within the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Prepare traditional Pakistani and Indian dishes (e.g., Biryani, Butter Chicken, Nihari, Aloo Gobi, etc.) based on recipes or specific customer requests.
  2. Ensure the presentation and quality of the dishes meet the required standards.
  3. Manage all food preparation tasks, ensuring proper handling, storage, and hygiene practices.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations.
  5. Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements for the dishes.
  6. Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding Pakistani and Indian food ingredients and cooking methods.
  7. Collaborate with other kitchen staff, including sous chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  8. Ensure timely food preparation during peak hours without compromising on quality.
  9. Work with kitchen management to maintain inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.

Qualifications :

  1. Proven experience as a Cook or Chef, specializing in Pakistani or Indian cuisine.
  2. Strong knowledge of traditional cooking techniques and flavors of Pakistani and Indian foods.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to follow recipes and food preparation instructions precisely.
  6. Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
  7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  8. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
  9. Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on the needs of the restaurant.

Preferred Skills :

  1. Familiarity with modern kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
  2. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and assisting in training.
  3. Knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions common in South Asian cuisine.
