Light Vehicle Mechanic

The Light Vehicle Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing light vehicles such as cars, SUVs, and small trucks. The role involves mechanical repairs, routine maintenance, and ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

1. Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnose mechanical issues.
2. Perform engine repairs, oil changes, brake replacements, and suspension work.
3. Repair and maintain transmission, exhaust, and cooling systems.
4. Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and recommend solutions.
5. Perform wheel alignments, tire changes, and balancing.
6. Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
7. Keep records of services and repairs.
8. Provide recommendations to customers on necessary repairs and maintenance.

1. Diploma or certification in Automotive Mechanics or related field.
2. Experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
3. Knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques and diagnostic tools.
4. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Good communication and customer service skills.
7. Valid driver's license (preferred).
