Light Vehicle Driver

The Light Vehicle Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers, goods, or materials to designated locations while following all traffic laws and company regulations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a good knowledge of road networks, and the ability to maintain the vehicle in good condition. The ideal candidate should be punctual, responsible, and capable of providing excellent customer service when required.

• Safely operate a light vehicle to transport passengers, goods, or documents as per assigned schedules.
• Follow all traffic rules, road safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe journey.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle, including fuel levels, brakes, lights, and tire pressure, to ensure it is in optimal condition.
• Report any mechanical issues, damages, or required maintenance to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring their safe handling and transportation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle at all times.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and trip details as required by the company.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, or customers regarding travel schedules and any unforeseen delays.
• Provide courteous and professional service to passengers or clients, ensuring a positive experience.

• Valid light vehicle driving license for the specified region.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a professional setting.
• Good knowledge of traffic laws and road regulations.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and map reading.
• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if required.
• Good communication skills and customer service etiquette.
• Physically fit to assist with loading and unloading as needed.
• Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations.
