Job Responsibilities:

• Control implementation of safety rules and procedures during lifting activities.
• Control and validate contractor’s lifting plan (including rigging details) & implement the lifting plan.
• Oversee various contractor’s lifting equipment (cranes, slings, shackles).
• Ensure rigging/lifting training aligns with project training policy.
• Assist in major lifting activities.
• Review and validate PTW on safety manager's request.
• Keep HSSE manager informed about ongoing site activities based on PTW log.
• Follow up on all remedial actions taken by the contractor.
• Conduct regular site tours to check on safety aspects and lifting in particular.
• Report conflicts regarding safety aspects and any incidents to the safety manager.
• Ensure valid certificates accompany each item of lifting gear and keep all such certificates for examination by HSSE department.
• Maintain a register of all lifting equipment received on site.
• Ensure all items of lifting gear are properly color coded.
• Maintain a register of all issues of lifting gear and ensure inspections are entered into the lifting gear register.
• Comply with and implement IMS policies and procedures.
• Lead and train the group of riggers, signalman, and banksman for crane setups and lifting operations.
• Organize and plan rigging and lifting works.
• Monitor the work carried out by riggers and signalman to ensure compliance with the lifting plan and safety procedures.
• Instruct and implement proper housekeeping of the work area and safety measures.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or higher management.
