Job Description

We are currently looking for dynamic and self-motivated Recreation professionals who want to move their careers forward. As a Lifeguard, you are responsible for monitoring activities in the swimming area to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

1. Cautioning swimmers regarding unsafe areas
2. Rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning and administering first aid
3. Maintaining order in swimming areas
4. Determining the chlorine content and pH value of water using a water testing kit
5. Conducting or officiating swimming meets and giving swimming instructions
6. Ensuring the swimming pool is clean
7. Ensuring the sun loungers are clean, in the correct position, and in working order
8. Regularly checking the temperature of the pool to ensure it meets set standards
9. Ensuring the pool deck is clean and free of any debris during operation
10. Ensuring that the umbrellas are fixed properly to their units
11. Ensuring that when the umbrellas are not in use, they are tied down for safety precautions
12. Providing emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
13. Having full knowledge of the club's facilities, timings, promotions, and prices

Desired Candidate Profile

Education, Qualifications & Experiences: You should ideally be a professional swimmer and a trained and qualified lifeguard with a diploma or university degree and some previous work experience, preferably within the hotel industry. Being physically fit and able to work long hours in an outside environment are essentials. A good command of English and strong interpersonal abilities are an advantage.

Knowledge & Competencies: The ideal candidate will be customer-driven with good guest service skills and the ability to handle complaints. You are a positive, smiley individual with a sportive, outgoing, and approachable character. You will work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be a great team player who thrives in working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike, while possessing the following additional competencies:
