We are currently looking for dynamic and self-motivated Recreation professionals who want to move their careers forward.
As a Lifeguard, you are responsible for monitoring activities in the swimming area to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers. Your key responsibilities include:
Cautioning swimmers regarding unsafe areas
Rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning and administering first aid
Maintaining order in swimming areas
Determining the chlorine content and pH value of water using a water testing kit
Conducting or officiating swimming meets and giving swimming instructions
Ensuring the swimming pool is clean
Ensuring the sun loungers are clean, in the correct position, and in working order
Regularly checking the temperature of the pool to ensure it is at set standards
Ensuring the pool deck is clean and free of debris during operation
Ensuring that the umbrellas are fixed properly to their units
Ensuring that when the umbrellas are not in use, they are tied down for safety precautions
Providing emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
Having full knowledge of club facilities, timings, promotions, and prices
Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should ideally be a professional swimmer and a trained and qualified lifeguard with a diploma or university degree, along with some previous work experience preferably within the hotel industry. Being physically fit and able to work long hours in an outdoor environment is essential. A good command of English and strong interpersonal skills are advantageous.
