Legal Secretary

We seek a standout legal secretary to work for a dynamic team, including two Partners along with several Counsel and Associates in their team.

You will have the following attributes and experience:

1. Organisational superpower – This is what you are known for. You will understand and be experienced in dealing with numerous clients and the complexities accompanying it, including when there are numerous complex billing requirements, as you navigate this with your typically strong attention to detail. Your responsiveness to whom you work is your strength, as is your ability to immediately prioritise and deal with requests on all communication channels from WhatsApp, email, phone calls, dictation, or an owl. The team can rest assured knowing that anything communicated to you is dealt with so they can immediately move on to their next task. You are always on top of things.
2. Diplomacy - it's natural to you. Being in this role will be something you'll have in spades as you are used to dealing at all levels in a classy and kind manner.
3. Character - They have proudly built and nurtured an office of genuinely nice people who care and bring out the best in each other in a high-pressure environment.
4. Work ethic - This is in your blood. This team works with the US; sometimes, you might be required to stay later. Your standard hours reflect this: 9.30 to 6.30 pm. On rare occasions, you might need to work on the weekend, which will incur paid overtime. You are fortunate to work in a team where you can take turns if it’s particularly busy unless it is a matter only you know of. You will always get your work done to a high standard, as this is who you are. You don't walk away and leave things unfinished.
5. Sense of camaraderie – At your core, you are someone who understands that you’re all there making the machine work and run smoothly. In this firm, even the Office Manager will jump on reception if she needs to. There is no ego. You roll your sleeves up and get things done with everyone else.
6. Experience – You will have at least five years’ experience working at Partner level for an international law firm and have a solid work history.
7. Communication – You are fluent in English to a business-level standard. Spelling and grammar are your forte. You will also have an articulate and succinct way of conveying a message.
