Legal Manager (Contracts) - FMCG / Consumer Electronics Distribution

The Legal Manager would be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for the organization, ensuring that these agreements align with legal requirements, mitigate risks, and uphold the organization's objectives. The role holder would also be in charge of overseeing agreements with external parties, such as vendors, clients, and partners. He / she would also be required to ensure that contract terms are clear, comprehensive, and reflect the interests of the organization while minimizing potential legal issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational objectives.
2. Identifying and assessing risks associated with contractual agreements and mitigating them through strategic clauses.
3. Managing contract modifications, amendments, extensions, and terminations as needed.
4. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
5. Negotiating terms and conditions with external parties to achieve mutually beneficial terms.
6. Facilitating the execution of contracts and monitoring ongoing compliance with contractual obligations.
7. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all contracts, correspondence, and related materials.
8. Collaborating with internal departments to communicate contract terms, ensuring consistent understanding.
9. Managing and resolving disputes that may arise during contract execution through negotiation and mediation.
10. Providing guidance to internal teams on contract-related matters, offering expertise and solutions.
11. Staying updated on legal and industry developments that could impact contract management strategies.
12. Developing and implementing contract management policies and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Law from a premier law institute with strong academic credentials.
2. Min 15 years of relevant PQ experience preferably in contract drafting & negotiations.
3. Excellent attention to detail.
4. Good interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to multitask.
6. Strategic thinking.
7. Ability to think independently and ‘out of the box’.
8. Willingness to learn.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Min 15 Years of experience in Legal Contracts drafting & managing negotiations.
2. Must have experience of FMCG Distribution OR Consumer Electronics Distribution business.
