Job Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents for various financial transactions, including loans, project finance, and Islamic finance.
• Provide legal support for corporate, trade finance, and treasury products, and assist in rolling out new products.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiations, to protect the organization's interests.
• Advise on legal risk, regulatory compliance, and assist in due diligence processes for new products.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and standardise legal agreements in line with best practices.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations and provide guidance on their impact on the business.

• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in banking and finance law, ideally with experience in both in-house and law firm environments.
• Strong background in corporate finance, trade finance, and treasury products, with specific knowledge of UAE and DIFC legal procedures.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters autonomously, while collaborating with senior stakeholders for more challenging issues.
• Ideally bilingual in Arabic and English, with familiarity in common law jurisdictions.
• Prior experience in mediation and litigation is essential.
