In employment law at PwC, you will focus on providing legal advice and guidance to clients on matters related to employment, labour relations, and workplace compliance. You will be responsible for maintaining organisational adherence to labour laws and regulations, promoting fair and equitable treatment of employees.
Responsibilities
- General advice and support relating to a spectrum of HC matters including: employee relations (disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and terminations), contingent workforce, immigration and visas, data breaches; drafting/reviewing/advising on employment contracts/letters/agreements.
- Supporting HC on the management of actual and threatened litigation by employees in collaboration with the OGC litigation team.
- Supervising and managing external counsel where necessary.
- Staying abreast of legal developments in the ME region and sharing insights with stakeholders through newsletters, regular reports and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Providing legal support on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions/corporate restructuring/inter-firm transfer of employees in collaboration with the OGC corporate team.
- Partnering with HC on HC-driven projects and initiatives, providing advice and guidance on legal compliance and best practice, for example, in relation to Global Mobility, Corporate Sustainability, and Nationalization programs; initiatives to optimize our HC operations and organizational strategy across the region from both a legal and employee experience perspective.
- Supporting HC Policy and Compliance functions with the inception, design, development and implementation of Regional HC Policies that are legally compliant and which support our Firm and People related strategies and values; providing ad-hoc advice on the application and interpretation of HC Policies.
