Legal Counsel (Arabic)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our client in Dubai.

The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice, manage data protection frameworks, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support regulatory objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality legal advice on various matters, including regulatory compliance, contracts, and legislation.
• Review and assess Arabic and English translations of legislation, correspondence, and MoUs to ensure accuracy.
• Act as a legal advisor for supervision and enforcement matters.
• Support data protection initiatives, including compliance assessments, training, and managing data breach responses.
• Collaborate with federal and Dubai stakeholders, including government entities and regulatory bodies.
• Draft and review contracts, publications, and internal materials.
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefing notes for senior management.
• Contribute to internal professional development and provide updates on significant legal issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent degree with a current practicing certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification legal experience.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, with excellent communication and drafting skills in both languages.
• Strong analytical and legal research skills.
• Knowledge of financial services legislation and industry practices is an advantage.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
