Job Title : Process / Technical Safety Engineer

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Process / Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role is open to UAE Nationals with a Chemical Engineering degree and 0-2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will support the development and implementation of process safety measures to ensure safe and efficient operations in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors. This is a great opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience in safety engineering and risk management.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating process safety risks.
• Support the development and implementation of safety management systems, hazard identification (HAZID), and risk assessments.
• Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL studies under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and safety audits.
• Assist in developing and reviewing safety policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance process safety.
• Stay updated on international safety standards and best practices (e.g., OSHA, API, NFPA).

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 0-2 years of experience in process / technical safety (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Basic knowledge of process safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and hazard analysis.
• Familiarity with process safety tools (PHA, HAZOP, Bowtie Analysis, etc.) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• UAE National (Emirati candidates only, as per Emiratization requirements).

Preferred Skills :

• Understanding of HSE management systems and process safety frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of industry standards like API, NFPA, OSHA, and ADNOC safety guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
