The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all legal Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and other legal contracts for Royal Technology Solutions. The incumbent will ensure that all legal agreements are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while also managing the legal risks associated with such agreements. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively across various functions including Finance, IT, Procurement, and other relevant departments.
Principal Accountabilities
Contract Drafting and Review: Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and legal documents to ensure they accurately represent the organization's interests and comply with applicable laws.
Legal Research and Analysis: Conducting thorough research on laws, regulations, precedents, and other legal matters relevant to the organization's activities or cases.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identifying potential legal risks and developing strategies to minimize or manage those risks, including the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
Contract Administration: Managing contract administration processes, including monitoring compliance with contractual obligations, tracking deadlines, and handling any necessary modifications or amendments.
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and clients to ensure effective communication and cooperation throughout the contract lifecycle.
Advising and Counseling: Providing legal advice and guidance to clients or internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues, including contracts, compliance, labor law, intellectual property, and more.
Dispute Resolution: Managing and resolving contractual disputes and claims through negotiation, mediation, or in some cases, legal action.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to contracts, and preparing reports as necessary to provide updates on contract status and performance.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry-specific requirements by developing compliance programs, conducting internal audits, and providing training to employees.
Policy Development: Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and review organizational policies, ensuring they align with legal requirements and best practices.
Qualifications
Education/ Qualification
Bachelor's/master’s degree in law or related field.
Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in legal and contract management, Exp in IT industry preferred.
Knowledge
In-depth knowledge of contract law and experience in drafting and negotiating legal agreements.
Experience in working with various functions such as Finance, IT, and Procurement.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the Tech industry is a plus.
Experience in managing external legal counsel is a plus.
