The Legal Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization operates within legal and regulatory requirements while maintaining ethical standards. This role involves monitoring compliance policies, conducting risk assessments, and advising management on legal matters. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of UAE laws, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks to mitigate risks and protect the organization from legal issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Provide guidance to management and employees on legal and regulatory issues affecting business operations.
  4. Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure company policies remain up to date.
  5. Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with local laws.
  6. Liaise with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and legal advisors on compliance matters.
  7. Develop and conduct training programs to educate employees on compliance policies and legal requirements.
  8. Investigate reported compliance violations and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions.
  9. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and reports for internal and external reviews.
  10. Collaborate with various departments to ensure company policies align with legal and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field; a legal certification is preferred.
  2. Proven experience in legal compliance, corporate governance, or regulatory affairs.
  3. Strong knowledge of UAE laws, industry regulations, and corporate compliance standards.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance projects effectively.
  6. Attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management tools.
  8. Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
