Legal Counsel and Compliance Analyst

Overview:

Our client, a leading financial services firm based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Counsel and Compliance Analyst to join their growing legal and compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer with a strong foundation in compliance, particularly within the financial services or brokerage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the legal team in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and internal policies.
2. Provide legal support on corporate, regulatory, and commercial matters.
3. Assist in legal risk analysis across business functions, ensuring legal integrity in all operations.

Compliance:

1. Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with DIFC and DFSA regulatory requirements.
2. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the firm’s compliance policies and procedures.
3. Ensure regulatory updates and changes are communicated and implemented across relevant departments.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance culture within the business.
5. Act as a point of contact for compliance-related queries internally.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. A qualified lawyer (1–3 years PQE preferred) with exposure to compliance within the financial services sector.
2. Strong understanding of DIFC regulations and the DFSA rulebook.
3. Experience working in or advising firms in the brokerage or financial products space is highly desirable.
4. Prior registration with the DFSA as a Compliance Officer or Legal Counsel is a strong advantage.
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.

Salary: 20K AED per month
