Role Description

This is a temporary on-site role for a Lecturer-Trainer in Natural Landscape at DixonTech Leaders Training in Al-Ain City for a five-day training session in April. The Lecturer-Trainer will be responsible for:

  1. Delivering high-quality landscape training courses.
  2. Preparing a training plan and scientific material.
  3. Providing feedback and guidance to participants.

Key topics include:

  1. Providing an understanding of landscaping as a science and art, including principles, models, and design coordination.
  2. Exploring various types of gardens and parks, their components, significance in the environment, and historical development.
  3. Familiarizing participants with plant and structural components in landscaping and their diverse uses in designs.
  4. Training participants on garden design, management, maintenance, and the role of gardens and parks in the environment.
  5. Covering topics such as garden design factors, artistic observations, and considerations for landscaping works.
  6. Discussing modern design elements for public gardens, design systems, planning principles, and tools.
  7. Understanding building and plant components, uses of plants, coordination functions, and design of irrigation networks.
  8. Identifying important pests and diseases affecting landscape plants and models of flowerbeds, gardens, fountains, and waterfalls.

Qualifications

  1. Expertise in Natural Landscape and related areas.
  2. Proven experience in delivering high-quality courses and workshops in English/Arabic.
  3. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Natural Landscape, Environmental Science, or related field.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and in a team.
  6. Familiarity with different teaching methods and tools.
  7. Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial to include a teaching certification, fluency in multiple languages, and experience delivering courses for a diverse audience.
