Roles and Responsibilities

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the Learning and Development strategy in alignment with the organization’s goals. This role plays a key part in cultivating a culture of continuous growth and innovation within Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment.
ROLE PROFILE

  1. Support the expansion and growth of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment across the region through tailored Learning and Development initiatives.
  2. Design, develop, and deliver new training programs and initiatives for the business, while managing the activities of junior Learning and Development team members.
  3. Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) by collaborating with leadership to identify skills gaps and provide effective solutions to enhance employee competencies.
  4. Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs that improve employee performance across all levels of the organization, contributing to overall business success.
  5. Oversee the management of training systems, content, and materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with business objectives.
  6. Facilitate ongoing training programs and develop content for departmental heads and management to build leadership and functional expertise.
  7. Ensure consistency in the quality of training programs, materials, and initiatives across the business.
  8. Track, report, and analyze the progress of training initiatives, managing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery within budget.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in training & development, Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
  2. 6-7 years of experience in HR, with a focus on Learning & Development.
  3. At least 5 years of experience in managing and leading a skilled team.
  4. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and instructional design tools like Articulate 360 and Canva.
  5. Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, tools, and methodologies to create effective learning materials and programs.
  6. Proficiency in Arabic is required for communication across the region.

  3. Content Customization: Tailoring training programs to specific roles or teams.

Facilitation and Training

  1. Workshop Delivery: Leading interactive sessions to engage learners.
  2. Coaching and Mentoring: Guiding employees to achieve their development goals.
  3. Presentation Skills: Delivering clear, impactful training content.

Technology Proficiency

  1. Learning Management Systems (LMS): Using platforms like Moodle, Cornerstone, or Workday.
  2. E-Learning Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or Canva for creating digital content.
  3. Analytics Tools: Measuring training effectiveness using data-driven insights.

Leadership and Collaboration

  1. Team Leadership: Managing L&D teams and coordinating with trainers.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with HR, department heads, and executives.
  3. Change Management: Supporting employees during organizational transitions.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  1. Engagement: Building rapport with employees to understand their learning needs.
  2. Feedback Mechanisms: Collecting and acting on feedback to improve training programs.
  3. Stakeholder Communication: Presenting L&D outcomes and strategies to leadership.

Adaptability and Innovation

  1. Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with the latest learning trends and methodologies.
  2. Creative Solutions: Developing innovative ways to make learning engaging.
  3. Cultural Sensitivity: Designing programs suitable for diverse workforces.
