MedAire, an International SOS company, is seeking a dynamic Lead Training Instructor to join our team in our Dubai office. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality training across the IMEA and APAC regions, supporting sectors such as aviation, maritime, and internal programs.
As the Lead Training Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping educational excellence with a passion for making a positive impact on students, particularly within the commercial and business aviation sector. Your contributions will go beyond training delivery to actively support the development of curricula and implementation of new medical training initiatives under the guidance of Education Services.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively engage with key accounts to understand their training needs, crafting bespoke solutions that enhance client satisfaction and contribute to business growth. Utilize insights from these engagements to inform continuous improvement of training content and delivery method
Partner closely with the sales and account management teams to align educational services with broader business goals. Play a pivotal role in developing strategies that support client acquisition, retention, and expansion through targeted training initiatives
Utilize proactive outreach to uncover new opportunities for client acquisition, retention, and expansion, integrating these efforts into broader business development activities.
Provide support as department subject matter expert and represent department and company at seminars and conferences as requested (MEBAA, EBACE, IATA)
Contribute to department publications and communications to internal and external clients.
Assist with the development of medical training curriculum based on customer needs and requirements by Education Services Management.
Conduct medical training focusing on high-impact, regionally tailored content that leverages expertise and meets the diverse needs of IMEA and APAC clients
Maintain all client information which may be encountered either directly or indirectly while in the performance of the job in strict confidence in accordance with HIPAA and/or any other pertinent confidentiality regulations.
Make sure training room and instructors are compliant as per the local regulations (DHA, DCAS, GCAA)
Required Work Experience
Minimum of two years of leadership experience.
Minimum 5 years experience directly related to curriculum development for adult learners.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent degree. Masters Degree preferred.
Current American Heart Association BLS Instructor or Heartsaver Instructor certification required.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Proven ability to operate educational and media equipment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Extensive experience in aviation, specifically as flying crew and teaching First Aid in commercial aviation or business aviation settings.
Background in pharmacy, with a strong understanding of medications and medical supplies relevant to aviation and maritime environments.
Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality educational content and training programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and timezones (USA, Europe, Asia) to meet business and educational goals.
Flexible and adaptive to dynamic environments, with a strong commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in training methods
Must possess the agility to enter/exit a plane or boat safely and with ease.
Must be able to perform the physical skills as dictated, i.e. CPR demonstration.
Must be able to lift, pull or carry training equipment up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to function in various environments with moderate noise level and potentially hot/cold environments.
