Job description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trade Marketing Lead to develop and implement trade marketing strategies that drive sales and brand visibility. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and key retail partners to optimize trade promotions, category management, and in-store execution.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and executing trade marketing plans to enhance brand presence and drive sales across various retail and distribution channels.
  2. Designing and implementing promotional campaigns in alignment with brand and business objectives.
  3. Analyzing sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.
  4. Working closely with the sales team to ensure effective execution of trade marketing strategies.
  5. Managing trade marketing budgets and ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  6. Building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders to enhance in-store visibility and brand presence.
  7. Planning and overseeing the execution of merchandising, POS materials, and promotional displays to drive shopper engagement.
  8. Tracking and measuring ROI on trade marketing initiatives and providing actionable insights for future improvements.
  9. Coordinating with the brand marketing team to ensure consistency in brand communication across all trade channels.
  10. Monitoring competitor activities and adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 5-8 years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or category management within the FMCG industry.
  3. Experience handling modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce channels.
  4. Knowledge of category management and shopper marketing strategies.
  5. Proven experience in managing B2B partnerships and trade promotions.

Technical Skills & Behavioral Skills:

  1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and sales insights.
  2. Excellent understanding of trade marketing tools, retail execution, and merchandising.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office, Nielsen, and other data analysis tools.
  4. Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through collaboration.
