Lead Structural Engineer - Offshore

As a Lead Structural Engineer for offshore projects, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and construction of various offshore structures such as oil platforms, pipelines, and subsea facilities. In this role, you will manage a team of structural engineers, provide technical expertise, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include conducting structural assessments, preparing engineering drawings, and coordinating with other departments to deliver integrated solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a focus on offshore applications, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. A bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering and relevant work experience are required for this position.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee the structural design and analysis of offshore structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
2. Provide technical expertise and guidance to a team of structural engineers to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
3. Review and approve structural engineering drawings, calculations, and reports.
4. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure coordination and integration of structural designs within overall project requirements.
5. Conduct structural assessments, inspections, and risk analyses of offshore platforms and facilities.
6. Develop innovative solutions to complex structural engineering challenges in the offshore environment.
7. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables.
8. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advances in structural engineering technologies.
9. Interface with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities as needed to support project objectives.
10. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations in all structural engineering activities.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
3. Minimum of 8 years of structural engineering experience in the offshore industry.
4. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SACS or STAAD.
5. Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory codes and standards for offshore structures.
