Define the project requirements and performance criteria and establish targets to the project team, ensuring that the project meets those targets.
Determine Yard obligations against Contract, contract documentation, applicable codes, and standards, and assure that these are communicated to stakeholders and implemented in project execution.
Manage project execution, including continuous monitoring and reporting in an organized manner to senior management.
Ensure that change/variation orders for the project are identified, documented, submitted, and tracked in an organized manner.
Liaise with the procurement supply chain to ensure that all materials/equipment required for project execution are available.
Maintain effective communication between the client and the project team.
Identify and resolve conflicts and bottlenecks in the project.
Systematically track project productivity and schedule, report findings, and prepare contingency plans when required.
Supervise, coach/mentor, and motivate project team members to enhance their capabilities and performance.
Identify lessons learned and propose improvement/mitigation actions.
Improve and develop department processes and procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the section head.
Qualifications/Experience & Skills
Mechanical, Civil, or Naval Architecture background with shipyard/fabrication yard experience.
Good knowledge of up-to-date shipbuilding and offshore construction processes.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
Ability to effectively apply project management techniques.
Proficient in the application of analytical tools and techniques.
Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, adaptability, and self-motivation skills.
Graduate in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
10 years of relevant experience in a shipyard or offshore fabrication yard.
