The project is a mixed-use ecosystem of different programs heavily focused on next generation retail, with residential, hospitality, and leisure features, incorporating ground-breaking immersive technology at the center of its offer.

The project scale is comparable to a three-dimensional city, similar to a mixed-use precinct with different typologies coordinated together into one cohesive whole.

The selected candidate will be part of a highly skilled, elite team with direct engagement with our Regional Design Director, and will be interfacing with the most prestigious pool of global subconsultants currently aligned to support the project.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Be the owner, key point of contact, and architectural lead of the mixed-use, residential complex within the larger built project, which includes four high-rise residential towers with mixed-use, leisure, and retail components.
  • Lead the design of a non-orthodox group of residential towers that are part of a broader ecosystem of assets and programs creating one cohesive “building.”
  • Focus on architectural design while also having experience in residential planning and market analysis.
  • Manage teams and produce designs, be proficient in CAD drawing, and deliver presentations.
  • Lead the preparation of submissions with extensive knowledge of international best standards and practices and proven expertise in architectural detailing.
  • Grasp concepts and briefings quickly, working in a structured way to produce design solutions to be evaluated within the studio and with clients and stakeholders.
  • Work both physically together or as part of a remote team while maintaining ATKINS QA/QC standards.
  • Have a keen eye for design, drawing, and submissions review.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 15+ years of international experience in the architectural design field.
  • Experience working for world-renowned design-focused firms is a plus.
  • Professional background centered around architecture practices of international renown.
  • Design experience of various scales and in various architectural types: residential, retail, hospitality, and leisure.
  • Extensive project experience with emphasis on large projects and programs.
  • Understanding of financial and commercial management of projects.
  • Full understanding of risk management and ability to transmit this knowledge to others.
  • Understanding of scope definition and scope interface and ability to communicate these concepts effectively.
  • Full knowledge of international standards & best practices, policies, codes, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements and international best practices.
  • Experience working on high-profile, fast-paced projects with complex stakeholder and approvals processes.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent eye for design.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Excellent software ability (both for CAD, CAM, graphic presentation).
  • Knowledge of Rhino/Grasshopper is a plus.
  • Ability to engage in design discussions and prepare and deliver public/group presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Keen eye for detail resolution and accuracy.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction from project managers, directors, and partners.
  • A team player, with a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and collaborating.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to negotiate.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude towards company objectives.
