In this role, you will be responsible for:

1. Identifying areas that require new development, such as device drivers, middleware, or bootloader customization.
2. Ensuring the platform supports and facilitates security requirements based on SOC capabilities.
3. Executing technical investigations and experiments to integrate new devices and capabilities into existing platforms.
4. Conducting applied research into platform-level security techniques for wireless communications.
5. Prototyping research concepts into working demos.
6. Identifying opportunities to utilize open-source software.
7. Facilitating application start-up and capabilities restrictions.
8. Working on embedded security architectures.

Required Skills

1. Strong C development experience.
2. Experience with ARM, X86, and RISCV based SoCs.
3. Experience bringing up Linux on an SBC or custom design.
4. Experience with Linux kernel configuration, patching, and maintenance.
5. Experience with Linux driver development and upstreaming practices.
6. Experience with wired and wireless networks.
7. Prior experience with embedded Linux build systems (such as Yocto, Buildroot, or Nix).
8. Experience debugging Linux kernel, bootloader, and driver issues, especially root cause analysis and SoC vendors coordination.
9. Experience with industry best practices for device security (secure boot, encryption key management, process isolation, etc.).
10. Experience with Python, and Linux Bash.
11. Experience with common bus protocols such as PCI, USB, SPI, I2C, and UART.
12. Ability to learn new skills and operate in a fast-paced and changing environment.
13. Direct experience in the overlap between software and hardware security, low-level development, and firmware/software technologies.
14. Experience with cryptography for platform security and implementation of secure software stacks and runtimes.
15. Experience with secure boot and TEE (Trusted Execution Environment).
16. Highly professional, with the ability to deliver proven work on tight schedules.

Required Qualifications

1. Master's in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or relevant discipline.
2. 7+ years of research (including degree) and/or industry experience.
