Lead Mechanical Engineer (Package Engineer - Static & Rotating)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer (Package Engineer - Static & Rotating) to join our team in Dubai, UAE.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead the specification, design, and procurement of static and rotating equipment packages (e.g., compressors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, flare packages, KODs, Drain pots).
2. Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards (e.g., API, ASME), and client specifications.
3. Develop and review package specifications, data sheets, and technical bid evaluations.
4. Select and design equipment to meet project requirements and optimize performance.
5. Ensure equipment compatibility with existing infrastructure and systems.
6. Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues.
7. Coordinate with the procurement team
