Lead HVAC & Plumbing Engineer

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Minimum 15 years in Design of HVAC and Plumbing Systems of Industrial Buildings, Must have UAE Consultancy Experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead all HVAC and Plumbing design activities, ensuring designs and deliverables comply with project requirements, local authority regulations, and international standards.
• Cooling Load calculations, Ventilation calculations, Pressurization calculations
• Design Chilled Water System, Chiller Plant, Smoke Management System
• Carry out Pump head calculation, ESP Calculation, Cooling Load Calculations, Duct Heater Sizing, Fan Sizing, Pump sizing
• Carry out water supply demand calculations, Drainage pipe sizing, Drainage flow calculations
• Design Plumbing system, Central Hot Water System
• Develop and review technical documents, including system design, specifications, and drawings
• Develop solutions, design options, techno-commercial comparisons
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, oversee project teams.
• Carry out technical analyses and feasibility studies
• Prepare detailed design, general arrangement layouts, sections, piping isometrics
• Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
• Prepare Design Reports, Basis of Design, etc.
• Review shop drawings, review supplier drawing submittals, and perform technical bid analyses.
• Review and resolve technical queries (TQ) and manage changes
• Ensure coordination with other project components and disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers, BIM Modellers, and Engineers

Skills:

• Hands-on experience in the use of Local and International standards in calculations (ASHRAE, UPC, IPC, ASPE, etc.)
• Proficient in HAP software, ASHRAE Duct fitting Database usage
• Good knowledge of Authority submission requirements (Dubai Municipality, Estidama, Trakhees, Green Building, etc.)
