The key objectives for this role are:- Developing and implementing HSE strategies, policies, and programs in alignment with organizational goals.
- Leading HSE teams, coordinating efforts across departments, and ensuring consistent implementation of HSE practices.
- Ensuring the organization adheres to local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with workplace activities and environmental impact.
- Tracking and evaluating HSE performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement.
- Overseeing the investigation of incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensuring comprehensive HSE training programs are in place and facilitating ongoing education for employees at all levels.
RESPONSIBILITIESKey Accountabilities and Responsibilities:- Review and approve FFED / EPC Contractor's deliverables and ensure compliance with Contract obligations, Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, design philosophy, and Industry best practices
- Ensure engineering works are performed to meet project schedules and that completed works are delivered safely and in a timely manner
- Coordinate all communications and meetings with the Contractors regarding engineering/design requirements as they may arise
- Actively manage Contractor's HSE process of hazard identification (HAZID), including risk analysis and mitigation
- Participate in Layout, P&lD, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Layout Safety Reviews, PSSR, constructability reviews, 3D Model reviews, safety audits, QRA workshops, etc.
- Attend internal progress and engineering meetings as required with the Contractors
- To ensure uniformity and standardization compatibility at optimum levels in design and engineering in all phases of the project
- To manage and audit the work of Contractor and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, and costs effective solutions are adopted
- To ensure the design works of Contractor are in accordance with the scope of work and project technical specifications
- Review Action Tracking Registers and ensure close out of all process safety actions arising out of key reviews, workshops, HSSEQ studies, safety related concerns, etc.
- Review Emergency Response procedures and plans for Loss Prevention inputs including alignment with Owner specifications and standards etc.

Expected:- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Minimum experience of 5 years in similar role
- Minimum experience of 15 years in oil and gas industry
