Lead HSE Designer

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure design compliance in line with best practices, BU requirements and Company policies and procedures
2. Guide junior staff in design processes and technical matters
3. Monitor the performance of team members to ensure the design's correctness, completeness, and compliance with the scope of work requirements
4. Provide designs and check to ensure they are accurate and in line with defined requirements
5. Coordinate with other centres / Safety Engineers for layout drafting
6. Coordinate / Liaise with Consultants and Clients on all client-related changes and comments and ensure approvals and incorporation in the design
7. Support the Lead Engineer in completing design projects on time and within budget
8. Provide support in agreeing on the project brief, establishing timelines, delegating tasks, and monitoring the project's progress
9. Hands-on experience on the following HSE deliverables:

• Hazardous Area Classification Layouts
• Fire & Gas Detector Layouts
• Fire Protection and Life-saving Equipment layout
• Passive Fire Proofing Layouts
• Escape Route and Safety Sign Layouts
• Piping & Instrumentation diagrams
• Process Flow Diagrams

Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of basic engineering processes
2. Familiarity with international codes, standards, and engineering practices
3. Thorough knowledge of onshore/offshore design engineering for the oil, gas, and water fields
