Job Description

• Lead the preparation of detailed mechanical estimates for oil and gas construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to analyze project requirements and scope, providing insights to enhance bid competitiveness.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify current pricing trends and material availability, informing the development of comprehensive cost structures.
• Utilize advanced estimation software and tools to streamline the estimation process, improving efficiency and accuracy in bid submissions.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring all mechanical components are accurately accounted for in estimates.
• Engage in risk analysis and management, identifying potential cost overruns and proposing mitigation strategies to protect project profitability.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, articulating estimation methodologies and outcomes.
• Mentor and train junior estimation engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment and enhancing overall departmental capabilities.
• Oversee the preparation of tender documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with project timelines.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating terms that optimize cost efficiencies and enhance project delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, ensuring a solid foundation in engineering principles.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical estimation within the oil and gas construction sector, demonstrating expertise in the field.
