Lead Electrical Engineer

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience: Minimum 15 years in Electrical Design of Industrial Buildings, Substations, Must have Consultancy Experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead all Electrical engineering activities, ensuring designs and deliverables comply with project requirements, local authority regulations and international standards.
• Carry out Building Services Electrical Engineering Design on Lighting and power design to British, and local Standards.
• Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers and Mechanical Engineers and any other design consultants.
• Carry out design checks of other Engineer's design and design reviews.
• Prepare Detailed SLD, Protection & Control schematics, Load Discrimination Analysis, Sizing calculations - Transformer sizing, cable sizing, Battery & Battery charger sizing.
• Vendor drawing reviews for Transformers, Cathodic Protection Systems, HV/LV Switchgears, HV/LV Bus duct, HV PFIC, Battery and battery charger, LV VFDs, HV VFDs, HV/LV motors, HV synchronous motors, Hot standby VFD system etc.
• Develop, review technical documents, including system design, specifications, and drawings.
• Develop solutions, design options, techno commercial comparisons.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, oversee project teams.
• Carry out technical analyses and feasibility studies.
• Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
• Prepare Design Reports, Basis of Design etc.
• Prepare engineering estimates, surveys, and designs.
• Review shop drawings, review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses.
• Review and resolve technical queries (TQ) and manage changes.
• Provide technical guidance to address complex issues related to electrical systems.
• Ensure coordination of electrical systems with other project components and disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers, BIM Modelers, and Engineers.

Skills:

• Good experience with Dialux, ETAP.
• Good knowledge of IEC and other international standards and codes.
• Good knowledge of DEWA requirements, Authority submission requirements, Design NOCs.
