Accountable member of the Production Support Team in ensuring safety, integrity, and availability of electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) equipment
Review installed equipment for any value-adding upgrades.
Review new equipment proposals to ensure it is fit for purpose.
Actively explore improvement opportunities in the form of new technology/method/material for maintenance, plant change, maintenance task improvement, and equipment surveillance/monitoring with the aim to enhance safety and integrity, reduce cost, improve reliability, and deferment performance.
Interface with workshops vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) regarding equipment overhaul/repair both in house and external repair facilities.
Liaise with both vendor and company's repair facilities for improvement of repaired equipment.
Interface with the engineering department to ensure maintainability is considered when specifying, procuring, and installing new or replacement equipment.
Responsible Person for:
Support and manage subordinates and work closely with other disciplines within the Production Support Team.
Member of the Incident Management Team.
Educational Qualifications: Minimum BE or BS degree in Electrical or Instrument engineering or equivalent
Experience Profile: 10+ years minimum offshore experience
Relevant offshore/onshore experience of hydrocarbon processing, utilities plant, and associated legislation.
Knowledge of operating and maintaining a wide range of equipment in remote environments.
Team management experience to run a multi-discipline team of Engineers.
Experience in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Working knowledge and experience in offshore oil & gas industry codes, specifications, and practices (HSE, API, NFPA, ISA, IEC etc.)
Experience with E&I control system upgrades – particularly in a brownfield environment.
Working experience at an engineering level with Control & Instrumentation systems including:
Competencies/Skills/Others: Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well with people of different technical skills and culture.
Medically and mentally fit to work in a remote offshore environment.
Computer literate, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
