Collect information, perform research, and analyze assets, using micro-level information such as company financial statements, price developments, or macro-level information including country energy and industrial policies, currency adjustments, climate change, and emerging industries and service sectors, notably those related to nuclear activities.
Establish the investment analysis in cooperation with Enterprise CFOs and VP BD&I, as well as shareholders/co-investors in Abu Dhabi.
Develop and maintain financial models to support investment analysis, including discounted cash flow models, sensitivity analyses, and scenario analyses.
Conduct thorough financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and forecasting, to support investment decision-making.
Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior management, including investment memos and presentations.
Collaborate with investment team members to develop and implement investment strategies and portfolio construction recommendations.
Monitor and analyze market trends and industry developments to identify risks and opportunities for the investment portfolio.
Participate in due diligence activities, including analyzing financial statements, conducting company and industry research, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Support and possibly lead interactions with lenders and investors from origination to financial close, including plain vanilla debt and equity, structured products, EBLs, hedging, mini perms, refinancing, stress scenarios, etc.
Build the investment financial modeling practice for ENEC BD&I, and provide mentorship and guidance to junior investment team members.
Requirements
Min. 8 to 10 years work experience in a similar role.
Bachelor's degree in finance or business, accounting, statistics. Degrees in math or financial disciplines, as well as CFA certification preferred.
Track record in analyzing, assessing, structuring, and completing project-financed energy projects.
Strong financial literacy (financial modeling, balance sheet analysis, understanding of commodities markets and country/regional policies).
Analytical mind with a keen sense of mathematical patterns and correlations.
Great attention to detail and the ability to make sound judgment calls under time pressure.
Computer-savvy and having the ability to build advanced, forward-looking financial models is a definite advantage.
Exposure to the nuclear industry preferred.
Able to work with little or no supervision.
Excellent level of English is required, Arabic is a plus.
Strong people skills and presentation skills.
