Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and highlight gaps, recommend solutions, and drive/influence inter-function decisions.
  • Use SQL and Tableau/QuickSight to generate insights, analyze opportunities, identify patterns, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Identify root causes for returns and customer contacts, and work with WW Subject Matter experts and Tech teams to implement Corrective-Preventive Action and identify opportunities for Automation.
  • Excellent Internal/External Stakeholder Management.

Build scalable products/solutions which will result in defect reduction leading to customer contacts & returns and enhance the customer experience in Amazon.

We ensure the best buying and post-buying experience by providing complete and correct information on the detail page. To accelerate and excel in our execution, we want to leverage scalable tech solutions and expand our programs globally.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience.
  • Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identify and solve business issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical or quantitative field.
  • Experience working with AWS Service.
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data and clearly communicate them to stakeholders and senior management as required.
  • Be self-driven, and show the ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.

    • Expertise in analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights.
    • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to interpret data related to sales, inventory, and customer behavior.
    • Ability to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can guide decision-making in the retail business.
  2. Retail Market Knowledge
    • Understanding of the retail industry, including market trends, consumer behavior, competitive landscape, and pricing strategies.
    • Ability to apply industry knowledge to solve retail-specific challenges and help businesses stay competitive.
  3. Financial Acumen
    • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
    • Ability to evaluate the financial impact of business decisions, promotions, and inventory management strategies.
  4. Inventory Management and Supply Chain Optimization
    • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and supply chain best practices.
    • Ability to analyze inventory levels, order cycles, and demand forecasting to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize out-of-stock situations.
  5. Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges, such as optimizing sales or improving operational efficiencies.
    • Ability to think critically and propose solutions that align with the organization’s business objectives.
  6. Business Process Improvement
    • Experience in analyzing business processes and recommending improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
    • Ability to identify opportunities for automation or streamlining of retail operations.
  7. Customer Insights and Experience
    • Ability to analyze customer data to uncover purchasing behaviors, preferences, and trends.
    • Proficiency in utilizing customer feedback and satisfaction metrics to improve the retail experience and product offerings.
  8. Communication and Presentation Skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex data and insights in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders.
    • Ability to present data-driven recommendations and business cases to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  9. Project Management
    • Ability to manage projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
    • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
