ICC / RCL / Other Critical Centre for Certification approval
Establish direct contact with Client once audit is scheduled and whenever necessary with other Bureau VERITAS organization.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Specialty: QHSE Lead Auditor as per ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
Education: Degree / Diploma (preferable in Engineering)
Training: Others as per requirements
Technical knowledge: Good understanding of organizational processes
Experience: Industrial Experience of minimum 10 years including auditing (internal / external) as per QHSE standards
Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities
Collection of required information from Sales and Operation Team once audit is allocated.
Preparation of audit plan and submission to client / audit team / BV back office
Chair opening and closing meetings
Assign to each team member responsibility for auditing specific processes, functions, sites, areas or activities and reassign work as needed
Manage external team representation during the audit process (expert, translator, Accreditation Bodies, …)
Periodically communicate the progress of the audit and any concerns to the client and to the audit team
Review with the client any need for changes to the audit scope which becomes apparent as on-site auditing activities progress and report this to the back office
Attempt to resolve any diverging opinions between the audit team and the client concerning audit evidence or findings, and record unresolved points
Review the audit findings, and any other appropriate information obtained during the audit, against the audit objectives and audit criteria and classify the nonconformities
Agree upon the audit conclusions, considering the uncertainty inherent in the audit process, any necessary follow-up actions
Confirm the appropriateness of the audit programme or identify any modification required for future audits (., scope of certification, audit time or dates, surveillance frequency, audit team competence)
Ensure that the audit report is prepared and shall be responsible for its content
Submission of audit pack to concern ICC / RCL and follow-up for approval
Recommends to the Technical Manager initial certification, maintaining of certification, recertification, suspension, withdrawal, or reduction of the scope of certification, as required.
Updating information from different sources (web-site / discussion / others) related to various management systems
Updating issues reported at site / client to Certification Manager / Technical Manager / Operation team / Sales team as required.
Addition of new schemes / codes qualification
Maintaining internal communication
Respects security guidelines of Bureau Veritas and safeguards personal security in the working environment
Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)
Other, as assigned by office.
Technical Expertise
Application of codes and standards, project specifications and procedures
Within his field of competence, the lead auditor / auditor is expected to conduct the activities stated in Primary functions.
Fully conversant with relevant auditing techniques and able to select the most appropriate technique.
Able to verify, communicate and approve Non-conformities / corrective actions
Able to identify required Bureau Veritas interventions, based on a pre-defined Audit Plan and according to specified standards and / or site issues.
Able to review / appraise auditing standard
Business Requirements
Update to Client(s) about day-to-day audit status, non-compliance / discrepancy to standards.
Update to Certification Manager / Technical Manager / Operation for any issue during audit

Maintains a high degree of expertise through permanent specialized training and knowledge management.
Ensure that audit is carried out as per standards / audit criteria.
