Lead Architect - Payment Switch (Middle East)
Required Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong background in payment systems architecture. Key qualifications include extensive knowledge of ISO 8583 and payment message formats, significant experience with high-performance transaction processing, and a deep understanding of payment processing workflows and standards. Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Java, C++, Python), database design, and message queuing systems is essential. A minimum of 10 years of payment systems development experience, including 5+ years in architectural roles, and knowledge of major card schemes (Visa, Mastercard) and EMV specifications are also required.
Role: You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the architecture of payment switching systems.
This role demands leadership in the architectural design of payment switch solutions, focusing on high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance. Responsibilities include crafting detailed technical specifications and system architecture documentation, designing seamless integration patterns for diverse payment networks, establishing and enforcing architectural guidelines and best practices, and developing robust disaster recovery and business continuity architectures to ensure uninterrupted service.
Technical Guidance & Implementation:
The role requires providing technical leadership by guiding development teams in implementing payment switch solutions according to architectural specifications, reviewing and approving technical designs, and mentoring junior architects and developers. This includes close collaboration with infrastructure teams to ensure optimal system performance and driving critical technical decision-making for core system components.
