Job description

Looking for a Finance person experienced in international trade and Letter of Credit in a trading company in DMCC office in JLT. Having 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Finance Department of the International trading industry is a must. Candidate should be available to join immediately or within a week max.

Preferred Indian nationality only. Visa will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle Export & Import LC and Collection Document checking.
  2. Handle Import & Export documents presented under Letter of Credit.
  3. Ensure all Trade Transactions are accurately processed in accordance with the terms and conditions of LC, UCP600, URR725, Incoterm, and ISBP745.
  4. Perform scrutiny of documents presented under Letter of Credit.
  5. Advise of Discrepancy to the presenter.
  6. Liaison with company bank, buyers & sellers along with their bank for all LC & banking related matters.
  7. Adhere to company’s policy, compliance check, and client requirement.
  8. Successfully and timely process and control all transactions within time frames.
  9. Ensure all transactions are processed as per Bank policy and procedures.
  10. Perform thorough screening of all parties involved in transactions to ensure regulatory compliance.
  11. Prepare detailed MIS reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for clients and products; including tracking of receivables and payables.
  12. Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports. (Tally knowledge preferable).
  13. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  14. Knowledge of LC and back-to-back preparation of documents.
  15. Handle pre-shipment and post-shipment activities, negotiations, and reimbursement claims while ensuring accurate documentation, including dispatch calculations.
  16. Analyze, follow up, and manage queries from branches during transaction processes, resolving issues and updating clients regarding swift messages sent to overseas banks.
  17. Reporting and Internal Control.
  18. Manage transactions and documents (Insurance, legal etc.) requirements to support business objectives.
  19. Effectively manage logistics, coordinate import & export of cargos, plan supply chain operations & shipments.
