About the Job:

Perform duties in his/her assigned section with diligence and pride to the satisfaction of the guest in the hotel and to the standards defined in the Laundry SOP’s.

Your main duties will include:

1. Report to duties on time with complete uniform.
2. Swipe card for attendance in and out.
3. Sort out all soiled linens into different wash loads.
4. Use correct formula program for wash process.
5. Operate all laundry machines correctly as per operating manuals.
6. All guest and staff laundry must be checked and tagged by the marking machine.
7. Make sure to use the correct color marking tape when marking guest and staff laundry.
8. All uniforms must be checked and processed in the correct wash formula.
9. Guest and colleague laundry should be pressed correctly maintaining quality.
10. Ensure all guest laundry is checked and packed before delivery.
11. Items should be thoroughly checked and stains treated before washing/dry cleaning.
12. Ensure all production sheets are filled out correctly.
13. Attend the training program as per training confirmations.
14. Pick up and deliver all guest laundry items in a timely and professional manner.
15. Aware of and always apply the guiding principles.
16. Keep the laundry clean and tidy.
17. Use equipment and chemicals in the correct manner as detailed in the Material Data Sheets and SOPs.
18. Keep equipment clean and in good condition.
19. Ask for advice prior to using any unfamiliar equipment or chemicals.
20. Execute any other task that may be required by the department.

Administrational Duties:

1. Record daily work in an appropriate logbook.
2. Record all discarded linens in an appropriate logbook.
3. Attend training and communication meetings as per schedules and update monthly training records.
4. Update the attendance register accurately.
5. Answer the telephone in the tailor room professionally as per the Jumeirah standard.

Skills:

• Knowledgeable in fabrics.
• Knowledgeable in use of tailoring machineries.
• Knowledgeable in use of laundry ironing machineries.
• Pressing.
• Dry cleaning.
• Order taking.

Experience:
