Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape BIM/CAD Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to perform basic to moderately-difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Provide front line project specific support to design teams.
2. Create landscape BIM models and drawings within Revit/Civil 3D to fulfill client requirements from LOD 100-LOD 350.
3. Experience in Clash Detection process using Navisworks/Revizto.
4. Utilize a workstation to prepare Landscape drawings consisting of general arrangements, grading plans, layouts, details, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
5. Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms’ efficiency and utilization.
6. Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
7. Become familiar with various standards and codes such as ISO 19650, BS 1192, etc.
8. Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of Landscape drawings.
9. Understand how to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
10. Provide ongoing training to existing users for CAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
11. Assist with creation of CAD/BIM standards and the implementation of the same throughout the firm.
12. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Architecture / Landscape / Urban Planning/Urban Design from an accredited institution.
2. Minimum six (6) years demonstrable experience of BIM/CAD design production experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably landscape projects.
3. In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit with proficiency in BIM/CAD processes.
4. Experience with BIM/CAD instruction and training.
5. Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with good capability in oral and written communication skills.
6. Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory.
