The Land Surveyor performs all duties associated with surveying which may include direction and preparation of boundary surveys, easements, and descriptions.
Job Duties:
Performing record research, construction stakeout, and boundary topographic transportation and utility surveys utilizing total stations and data collectors.
Review information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points, and elevation of points, lines, and contours on above and below the earth's surface.
Plan field work & select known survey reference points.
Determine the precise location of important features in the survey area.
Research legal records, look for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyze the data to determine the location of boundary lines.
Record the results of surveys and verify the accuracy of data.
Prepare plots, maps, and reports, metes and bounds descriptions.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, Geodetic, or related field).
Experience
The ideal candidate is a Civil Engineering graduate with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the land surveying field and setting out of works of similar nature, or a Diploma holder with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the land surveying field in similar works.
