Stantec is currently looking to hire a Land Surveyor to support on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks, and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration, and construction monitoring.
Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Technical Delivery
- Supervises/conducts field surveys as per project requirements and deliver in accordance with company/client requirements and guidelines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to oversee and manage survey aspects of site construction activities.
- Provide support to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Perform duties in accordance with the company's highest quality expectations, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Liaise with other agencies (Consultants/Contractors) to coordinate the survey work.
- Prepare neat sketches to support the fieldwork.
- Preserve all the survey information (field books, sketches & calculations).
- Perform any other essential duties that the immediate superior may assign from time to time.
- Perform the work in Total Station and their associated software. - Collaboration and working as part of a team
- Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
- Conduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations.
- Experience in identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions, and coordinating responses.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. - Client Service Management
- Internal and external client liaison.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships.
- Experience in utility diversions and management.
- Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
- Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
- Design for safety, i.e., Construction Design Management.
- Other duties as requested from time to time by the Assistant Resident Engineer.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Land Surveying
- Minimum 10 years experience in a similar level role.
- Experienced in Infrastructure survey inspection & Supervision work.
- Dubai Infrastructure project experience is an added advantage.
- Full and complete knowledge in Auto CAD, Total Station & other related software.
