Ladieswear Buyer

Are you a high calibre womenswear buyer with a taste for expat life? Would you like to explore life in Dubai with plenty of perks (most importantly tax-free income!)?

A major global brand is seeking a Womenswear Buyer to manage part of this significant category. This constitutes wovens/knits/dresses collections catering to nearly $1bn in sales in the region.

The role will suit someone who has had experience in this category preferably within large format commercial high street retail and is willing to explore an emerging market.

As a Buyer, your key role will be:

• To set the product strategy for your category in line with European trends and customer profile
• To raise the bar on commercial performance, be it around costs, margins or lead time
• To build strong relationships with vendors, and ensure good performance in terms of execution and delivery
• To work cross-functionally with design, merchandising, marketing, visual, sourcing, quality teams to ensure the right product reaches the right place at the right time and at the right price
• To be switched on with the latest trends and events! You will travel across Asia, Europe, Korea, America for shows and bring the best product to the table!
• To manage junior members of the team and keep them motivated!

Who are we looking for?

You will:

• Be an experienced buyer (at least 5 years) within womenswear from a commercial high street background
• Have a fantastic eye for product and trends!
• Be commercially savvy and be numbers driven!
• Be willing to relocate to Dubai and commit to a few years out here
