Labs Safety Specialist

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Provide assistance to the Lab Safety Senior Specialist in implementation of environment, health, safety programs within the University.
2. Assist campus faculty and staff in compliance with institutional policies and programs for chemical, biological, physical, radiation, laser fire, life, and/or environmental protection safety.
3. Provide comprehensive support to the research community, including support of radiation safety, biosafety, and Chemical Safety.
4. Carry out inspections, incident and accident investigation, and provide specialized technical expertise, as assigned.
5. Assess the hazards associated with the use of biological and chemical agents in research and teaching.
