The role is responsible for maintaining all laboratory equipment in great status for operational use. This entails conducting all required maintenance activities and performing standard laboratory procedures under the supervision of technologists.

1. Conducting under the supervision of senior technologists analysis of specimens to determine the presence of normal and abnormal components.
2. Ensuring data capture of lab results onto computer systems.
3. Operating, calibrating, and maintaining lab equipment.
4. Providing results to physicians as per defined SOP.
5. Evaluating collected laboratory data and preparing reports as per protocol.
6. Ensuring that SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and Quality Assurance tests are maintained within all sections.

Graduate of an accredited course resulting in being awarded a diploma or certificate as a Laboratory Technician from an accredited program or equivalent of NLT 2 years duration.

Valid Basic Life Support Certificate.

At least two years in own country.

Desired: Two years in an acute care hospital.

• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Infection prevention and control protocols.
• Patient safety regulations and related accreditation standards.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic will be an advantage).
