Lab Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to perform a wide range of laboratory procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with technical laboratory equipment, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work independently while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sample Handling: Receive, label, and analyze various samples, including blood, toxic substances, and tissue samples.
2. Testing & Analysis: Design and execute laboratory tests following standard procedures, document observations, and interpret findings.
3. Experimentation: Conduct experiments under controlled conditions to verify or refute hypotheses using advanced scientific methods.
4. Chemical & Equipment Management: Organize and safely store chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases in accordance with safety guidelines.
5. Data Recording: Accurately document all data and results, both in physical records and electronic databases, ensuring precision and accountability.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, while also supporting the procurement of necessary laboratory supplies.
7. Health & Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines, ensuring a clean and hazard-free laboratory environment.

Requirements & Skills:

1. Proven experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar role.
2. Hands-on experience with both electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment, as well as knowledge of handling potentially hazardous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards, etc.).
3. Strong knowledge of QHSE Systems (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) and laboratory best practices.
4. Excellent physical condition and endurance to meet the physical demands of the role.
5. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience working with laboratory database systems.
6. Ability to work independently and remain composed under pressure.
7. Valid laboratory technician license is required.
8. Educational Background: Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is essential.
