Lab & Research Engineer

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Physics and/or Engineering or Related Area
2. Proven records in Health and Safety Management
3. 5 years of experience as a Lab engineer

Job-Specific Skills:

1. Solid understanding of physical principles and their application to practical systems
2. Good practical skills, and the ability to devise, set up and run tests in the lab
3. Curiosity, creativity, and strong interest for scientific research
4. Strong experimental and analytical skills, particularly in the areas of material science and non-destructive analysis
5. Interest for multi-disciplinary topics, and for collaboration with other disciplines
6. Experience in Material science and/or Cultural heritage analysis is an added advantage
7. Python and/or MatLab knowledge
8. Strong ability to work in a team
9. Planning and organizing skills
10. Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in both one-to-one and group situations
11. Experience with multiphysics software (e.g. COMSOL) beneficial
12. Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs
13. Languages: English is mandatory; French and Arabic are added advantage
