Job Description: Kitchen Steward

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Steward to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and smooth operations in the kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Maintenance:

1. Clean and set tables with seasonal decorations, tablecloths, and candles.
2. Remove food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, and glasses.
3. Wash and sanitize dirty dishes and utensils, ensuring they are properly stored.
4. Sweep, mop, and polish the kitchen, bar, and dining areas to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.

Support Duties:

1. Assist in cleaning tasks and completing opening or closing duties.
2. Transport used linens to and from the laundry or housekeeping section.
3. Assist with unloading, organizing, and storing stock and supplies.

Customer Service:

1. Help with seating customers, serving water, and delivering beverages when needed.
2. Clear tables and prepare them for the next guests promptly.

Wait Staff and Kitchen Support:

1. Stock serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, and condiments.
2. Provide assistance to the wait staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Requirements:

1. Prior experience as a kitchen steward or in a similar role is a plus.
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
3. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
5. Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing, lifting, and cleaning.
